Easily, make sure the child is ready to go when the ex shows up and be there when the child comes home.
I'm very lucky.
I get on well with my son's father, and so does my Husband.
I also get on well with his ex partner too.
We make it work for the sake of our kids and to also let the kids know that although we don't live with each other, we will always be a united front when it comes to dealing with the children.
