This is the hardest thing I've ever had to do!!! Give me some tips and advice please! How do you deal with moving on from your ex of a long term relationship?
You take it one day at a time. The last thing that you want to do is confuse yourself more by randomly sleeping with other partners. Sure it helps you forget but only for that moment. Moving on is hard but also harder when you've seen the person you loved moved on. Things happen for a reason. You just need to start living and find new ways to improve yourself:)How do you deal with moving on from your ex of a long term relationship?
sleep with lots of dirty women.it always helps me.
Go out with your friends. Go make new firneds. Start dating. Slowly.... Find things to do that interest you. Create yourself.
Spend time with people you have not had quality time with. Life is short
Delete any numbers/pics of this person. It HELPS to ease the pain. Avoid places this person likes to hang out at you may see something you don't like. Gain more friends build your social life hang out with them. Do the things you like to do and don't think about your ex. It's hard but you can do it. It has happened to everyone it just take sometime it won't happen over night...hope that helps... :)

This can be a tough issue. My ex wife divorced me after 10 years, and a year later wanted me back. I still love her deeply but I choose not to go back to a relationship that was bad enough that one of us wanted a divorce.
The point of this revelation is that it doesn't matter if you are on the leaving side of a break-up or the being-left side, it still comes with emotional pain that needs to be resolved.
In your case, I think you need talk this through, maybe many times, with someone you care about. Talking about issues like this has been proven to help resolve emotions about them. You would also benefit from learning to interrupt your thoughts about a romantic relationship with this person, and replace them with the acknowledgement that the relationship simply doesn't exist and that life is slipping away while you're stuck in the past.
