I broke up with my boyfriend two months ago (after a lot of arguing and fighting... i suffered a lot because of him), and yesterday I found out that he died.
In that moment, I felt a bit confused and didn't really know how to react.
On one side, I felt sorry for him, but on the other side, I thought he deserved it and he was guilty for his own death (he died in a motorcycle accident, he didn't have a license, the moto wasn't his and he knew only a few things about riding it).
I still feel confused. I don't even know if I should go to the funeral or not.
What advice would you give in such situations? :/How to deal with your ex's death?
feel sorry for him, he had issues, but u broke up for a reason so you shouldnt feel too bad.
go to the funeral if you need to move on or you could send flowers and your regards instead??
only you know what you need to do. do what you feel is bestHow to deal with your ex's death?
I would probably talk to a licensed psychologist about this. There are stages of grief, and you're going through them. Nobody here is going to be able to give you a good answer because we don't have training.
ya u shud go to the funeral. ur not losin anything from goin to it. if u dont attend it u may regret one day and it wud be too late. this is ur last chance to see him. and i mean if ur not strong enough to see him up close at least be there in the crowd. the presence is good enough.
i would go because it was someone who impacted and influenced me in many ways
sorry to hear this
